Game mode is an option that prevents system background activities and allows all system resources to be reserved for the game and reduce those of background programs. A reboot will be required.

Are you sure this speeds up performance?
From what I understand, this feature is only used so that xbox game bar doesn't have to ask you for permission to record your screen in a new app that you haven't used before.
If I'm wrong, please correct me.
