Request for Disable Microsoft Edge registry

I do not care for or use Edge but it is constantly being opened for one reason or another.

This request was fulfilled by Disable Microsoft Edge pre-launching

I want to completely disable Edge not just the prelaunch.

It is not possible to disable it with the registry alone. See further instructions here:
