I own this game, but my CD is broken (old and used a lot), so I tried to install a cracked (no-CD) version using my personal CD key, which worked fine.
However, when I try to update the game using a separate patcher .exe it does not recognize the game as installed. This is because the download I used was just a .7z file with all contents in it and thus did not create any registry keys.
